We take the safety and well-being of our students seriously and we are looking for chaperones who can be responsible for the students when they are not in class, ensuring they are safe traveling around the streets of New York City as they go from location to location, and also being the support system the students might need while they are away from home.

Chaperones would arrive on July 8, 2018 and would depart on July 15th, 2018.

Chaperones are responsible to arrange for their own travel.  They will be provided a shared room (with another chaperone) in the hotel.  If you are a parent of a child attending the Institute, you will NOT be eligible to be a chaperone.  A chaperone is a non-paid position, but you WILL receive a ticket to all of the Broadway shows and breakfast and dinner (with the students).

If you're interested in applying to be an chaperone for The Open Jar Institute, download and fill out the Chaperone Application. Additional application submission instructions are on the application.

In early March 2018 you will be notified if you're being considered and will be scheduled for an online interview.  If you don't hear anything back by the end of March, don't hesitate to reach out.
