Summer 2026 Internships
Now accepting applications for Summer 2026! We are looking for passionate and driven individuals to be an integral part of our Broadway Intensives. To learn more about our Broadway Intensives, please read our What to Expect packet that all accepted students receive.
Interested applicants should start by reading our Internship Overview packet to get a sense of the duties and responsibilities during each Broadway Intensive. They will fill out the form below, and submit a video via YouTube or Vimeo answering the prompts given in the form.
Due to the World Cup in NYC, our intensives are split into two back-to-back week blocks. Each block is one high school and one college session. When applying, please let us know if you are interested and available for one, or both, blocks.
Dates Needed:
BLOCK 1 - Saturday, May 30 - Sunday, June 14
BLOCK 2 - Saturday, July 25 - Sunday, August 9
(Interns are responsible for their own travel arrangements and housing)
Key Responsibilities (be sure to read through the overview packet)
Participate in planning and preparations for student arrival
On-site during all Broadway Intensives to help facilitate and supervise workshops/classes
Assist with food shopping, prep, and catering
Event coordination and production
Hours: 7am - 7pm most days of the Intensives
What We Provide
Meals on days Open Jar Institute classes are in session
Tickets to Broadway shows seen by the Open Jar Institute
Experience working at a Broadway rehearsal studio
Participation in masterclasses as time allows

Following applications, there will be a round of phone or Zoom interviews with the Program and Development Directors.
Applicants will be notified by March 15th of application status.
