Headshot & Resume Guide

An actor's headshot/resume is their calling card in the business. We encourage those attending any session of Open Jar to maintain a professional headshot and resume. The industry standard is an 8 inch by 10 inch size sheet for both the headshot and resume stapled back to back.

SAMPLE HEADSHOT

A professional headshot should be 8 x 10 and should look like you when you walk in the room - not a 'glamour shot' - and should be a great representation of you and your energy. Note: many actors now choose to place their name on the bottom of their printed/digital headshots.

SAMPLE RESUME

A professional resume should be 8 x 10 and stapled (in all four corners) to your headshot.

Resumes sent digitally should always been sent in PDF format with the document title including your full name.
